Why not? President Donald Trump proved that a celebrity with no political experience could run for the highest office in the land and win. Here's a look at some other celebrities who have recently floated runs for political office (some more seriously than others).Actually runningAntonio Sabáto Jr., an actor and Trump supporter who rose to fame as a star on "General Hospital" in the '90s, is running as a Republican to unseat Democratic Rep. When you name a character “Player X” in a “based on a true story” movie, as Aaron Sorkin does in his directorial debut Molly’s Game, it only invites speculation about who that character represents. And when your movie is based on the memoir of the same name by Molly Bloom, who ran a real-life underground poker scene for the wealthy elite in the late 2000s, it isn’t very hard to convert that speculation into something tangible. In her time running the game, Bloom crossed paths with A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, Nelly, and even Alex Rodriguez, so there are many sources of inspiration for Player X, played by a twitchy Michael Cera in Molly’s Game. Is he an amalgam of the poker players’ worst tendencies, wrapped up into one, smarmy character?
The truth is, Player X is less of a collection of stories relating to different celebrities, and more of a stand-in for one star in specific. In Molly’s Game, Sorkin narrows the focus of the book while letting its less impactful anec..

Apatow tweeted that he was in disbelief when he first heard the news.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian actor and director Farid Kamil Zahari was on Friday (Jan 12) remanded for four days for investigations, after he allegedly slapped a policeman and kicked a member of the public.

The assault happened on Thursday at Kota Damansara police station in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

The BBC announced today that Ed Westwick's role in the upcoming adaptation of Agatha Christie's Ordeal by Innocence has been recast despite the three-part special wrapping filming in September 2017.
In the wake of multiple sexual assault allegations lobbied at the British actor late last year, the BBC shelved their intended airing of the drama during the festive period. However, it seems the production will now see the light of day, with actor Christian Cooke taking over the part from Westwick and reshooting scenes with the ensemble cast including Matthew Goode, Bill Nighy, Ella Purnell, Anna Chancellor, and Alice Eve.
Also said to be shelved is the second season of the BBC 2 production White Gold, which featured Westwick in the starring role.
