Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have given their seal of approval to Moulin Rouge! The Musical, almost two decades after the actress starred in the film version.

People reports that Kidman and Urban were seen singing along in the audience on Broadway.

Kidman also shared a video from her night out, writing “how wonderful life is …” a line from Your Song, which features in the show.

“Wow,” Kidman said in the video, while Urban gave the show a thumbs up.

The pair went backstage and posed for photos with the cast, including Karen Olivo, who plays the role of Satine, originated by Kidman in the 2001 Baz Lurhman film.

Moulin Rouge scored Kidman her second Golden Globe award and her first Oscar nomination.

The stage show includes a mixture of old and new, with the classic numbers and new hits from Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Adele and Britney Spears.

In May, Kidman and Urban shared a video of them singing Your Song.

As he sang “If I was a sculptor,” Kidman then said, “But you’re not,” causing Urban to laugh.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical will head to Melbourne with local theatre experts expecting it to be a big hit.
