THE Chase viewers got the giggles when they realised the contestants’ names spelt out two famous comedians.
Fans couldn’t help but laugh when host Bradley Walsh introduced Vicki, Gervaise, Peter and Kay on the ITV quiz show tonight.
After the TV star welcomed viewers to the show, the line-up each introduced themselves.
They included Kay, 31, from Leeds, and Peter, 64, from Doncaster.
Also vying to win thousands of pounds was Gervaise, 26, from Essex, as well as Vicki, 52, from Staffordshire.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the first two names spelt out Peter Kay – the comedian from Bolton – while the latter two almost made up The Office funny man Ricky Gervais.
Those watching at home took to Twitter to share their amusement at the line-up of names.
One wrote: “You really couldn’t find ANY contestant named Ricky? Really?? #theChase”
A third shared: “Tonights celebrity line up on #theChase”

Unfortunately, the star quality of the contestants couldn’t save them, and Gervaise failed to win the £1,000 final when he faced the chaser Paul Sinha in the final on his own.
It comes after The Chase were left in hysterics last week when they noticed the team all had nautical-themed names.
Challengers Shelley, Cliff, Coral and Sandy meant business as they attempted to take down the chaser, Shaun Wallace, but fans were understandably distracted by their seaside-inspired names.
The foursome first caught viewers attention after they were introduced on the show’s official Twitter page in a post that read: “SHELLEY, CLIFF, CORAL and SANDY. Nope. We don’t see the connection.”
Egged on by the rib-tickling tweet, viewers couldn’t help but weigh in on the hilarity on Twitter and commented in their droves about the not so subtle coincidence.
One viewer asked: “Is this a seaside special episode?”
“#TheChase seaside special… who’s idea was it to put these contestants on all at the same time,” another shared.

A third said: “Can’t believe all the contestants on #thechase names relate to the beach / seaside ……… sorry for noticing!” (sic).
While one viewer couldn’t help but notice Sandy’s eye patch and shared: “Must be a seaside special on The Chase? They even have a pirate.”
Aside from their oceanic names, the foursome successfully managed to bank £31,100 during the show.
