ALBA bolstered its frontcourt and added plenty of size in the paint by registering center Jean Marc Christ Koumadje on Wednesday, before the Turkish Airlines Euroleague signings deadline, although the club announced the move on Thursday. Koumadje (2.23 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Avtodor Saratov, where he averaged 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5 VTB League this season. He started the 2020-21 campaign with Movistar Estudiantes of Spain, averaging 1.2 points in six games before joining Avtodor. He started his professional basketball with Delaware of the G League, leading that competition in blocked shots (4.1 bpg.) in the 2019-20 season. Koumadje also averaged 11.3 points and 11.1 rebounds in 33 G League games. He is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with ALBA.
