Led by a team of beauty-obsessed executives, Baseblue Cosmetics launched in 2018 to be the go-to source for the latest beauty trends and “must-have” essentials, from applicators to makeup. You may remember me talking about >Baseblue cosmetic sponges a while ago.
The newest addition to the line is their Dry and Wet Dual Action Facial Cleansing Wipes $21. The wipes come wrapped individually in a box of 20.
Each individually-wrapped wipe can be used to remove makeup or as a quick refresher throughout the day. Perfect for long flights, late nights, or a quick pick-me-up!
One thing I noticed right away is that the Baseblue wipes are slightly larger than drugstore wipes and they have a quilted texture which is nice for gentle exfoliation. Also no dry or tight feeling after cleansing. I absolutely love that these keep my skin nurtured and moisturized without a yucky film or residue. Sometimes going through my entire skincare routine seems daunting and Baseblue wipes are so quick and easy but don’t add to my dry skin.
The dry wipes are perfect for sensitive skin. Once activated with water, wipe over your face to gently remove excess oil and slough off dead cells.
The wipes feature ingredients like naturally-antimicrobial glycerine, which acts as a natural moisturizer and can prevent wrinkles, fight acne, reduce puffiness, and even soothe sunburns; betaine, an amino acid derived from coconut oil help to create plump, hydrated, and youthful-looking skin; and a derivative of ultra-hydrating castor oil, which has been used for thousands of years to cleanse and moisturize the skin. The hyaluronate properties of our wipes help penetrate into deeper layers of the skin while attracting and bonding to water. The results are fresh, clean, and hydrated skin that will last you all day (or night) long.
The wet, or night wipes are great for removing makeup, dirt and oil. Even waterproof mascara without drying out my skin.

Another addition to the brand is the lovely Summer in Kyoto Perfume Soap Bar $8. This Cruelty-Free perfume soap bar is infused with the scents of Kyoto and gently yet effectively purifies all skin types. Inspired by the city of love and romance, and the blossom of the cherry tree. Recreating sweetness, the very human touch of this romantic city by layers of scents, the first layer is cherry, and then comes fruity lemonade. This soap is so enchanting you may not want to use it, and wouldn’t it look beautiful in a guest bathroom?

Not new to the line, but new to me are the Baseblue Flying Lashes false lash collection. Now I admit I am a false lash newbie. One of the girls at work who wears them every day has been teaching me both to fit them to my natural lashes (apparently to my dismay, I have small eyes) and apply them.
Ever since I tried lash extensions my poor lashes have never been the same. They don’t even grow with lash serum and I’ve tried 3 different brands. That’s why I’m turning to falsies–to get back my long, thick lashes!
These are the Skylark Medium Volume Falsies $12. I adore these lashes! Once I trimmed them down to fit my lashes, I love the way they look! I think they are very natural and not so overdone that you would necessarily think they are fake. Skylark are shorter toward the inner corner just like real lashes and get longer.
Bottom Line: Baseblue Cosmetics has a wide variety of essential makeup
from applicators to makeup!
