Brian Reetz and Jennifer McLaughlin were named principal, Seonhee Kim and Meredith Sullivan were named senior associates and Brady Mark, Emily Sales and Dan Schultz were named associates with Design Collective Inc.
A professional landscape architect, Reetz serves as the director of the Landscape Architecture Studio and offers 17 years of experience in landscape design for diverse project types. Among his most notable projects, he led the award-winning open space design for Rutgers University’s Livingston Campus improvements in Piscataway, New Jersey. Reetz received a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
A certified interior designer with more than 21 years of experience, McLaughlin is skilled interior designer and project manager specializing in complex interior projects. With a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Temple University, she brings a comprehensive understanding of interior architecture and design to every project. Most recently, McLaughlin worked on award-winning designs for Cushman & Wakefield’s Baltimore office and Nine East 33rd, a mixed-use student housing project for Johns Hopkins University.
A recipient of the coveted Dean’s Thesis Award, Kim graduated from the University of Maryland’s School of Architecture in 2004 with a master’s degree in architecture. In her 13 years of experience, her experience includes a wide variety of projects ranging from higher education and student housing to mixed-use and commercial office buildings. As director of sustainability, Kim is an expert on high performance design and an advocate for the environmental and health effects of building design.
Sullivan brings more than 17 years of experience and an impressive portfolio of academic facilities for K-12 clients. She has worked on many public elementary and secondary schools, completing projects for Baltimore City Public Schools, Baltimore County Public Schools and Howard County Public Schools. At present, she is managing the renovation/addition of Pimlico Elementary/Middle School and Arlington Elementary and the replacement of Calvin M. Rodwell Elementary/Middle School in Baltimore.
A registered architect with over ten years of experience, Mark received a Master’s of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in architectural studies from the University of Kansas. He has been involved in many of the firm’s most complex renovations, including the recent renovation of HJ Patterson Hall Wing 1 at the University of Maryland, College Park. Mark is currently working on Towson University’s Union renovation and expansion.
Sales joined Design Collective in 2002 after earning a Master’s of Architecture degree with honors from the University of Maryland in 2002. She has worked on several of the firm’s most notable mixed-use residential projects, including The Metropolitan in Columbia. Currently, Emily is working on Resa, a mixed-use residential high-rise in the NoMa neighborhood of Washington.
Schultz is a registered architect with more than 10 years of professional experience at Design Collective. He has worked on some of the firm’s most notable mixed-use, multi-family and student housing projects, including Pallas at Pike & Rose and Potomac Place at Shepherd University. He is now working on Stevens Institute of Technology’s new student housing and university center in Hoboken, New Jersey. Schultz received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Virginia Tech.
