The world is beginning to look like something out of a sci-fi novel.
The coronavirus outbreak has caused countries to shut their borders, care homes to ban visitors and the tube to reduce its service.
People are panic buying and feeling worried about the vulnerable.
Meanwhile, a beauty influencer has been criticised for posting a “coronavirus make up tutorial” to Instagram.
The pretty Iraqi woman has been accused of mocking those affected by the pandemic by shooting the video.
In it she films herself applying eye makeup while wearing a blue surgical mask.
Fatima Aldewan shared the video where she described her “coronavirus look” to 80,000 followers.
The six-minute clip details how to correctly put on a surgical protection mask.
She then goes on to apply makeup around the mask.
Fatima states that her followers requested she create the tutorial despite the worrying infection rate around the world.
According to Worldometer, more than 190,000 people in the world are infected with COVID-19.
The clip has caused moral outrage in some of the 76,000 viewers.
Many were left angry and said that Fatima was downplaying the severity of the pandemic and its effects of peoples lives.
One said: “Whitewash! People are dying from this illness and you are taking it as mere fun.”
A second added: “Even the coronavirus now has a makeup look. What kind of stupidity are you guys living in?”
