MSC Cruises' US business will be helmed by Rubén Rodríguez from next month.
Rodríguez joins MSC Cruises USA as president on March 18 and replaces Roberto Fusaro, who left last month.
He was CEO of Great Wolf Resorts, the largest operator of indoor water park resorts in the US, and spent eight years at Carnival Cruise Line.
He held leadership positions at Carnival including executive vice president of ship operations and EVP, marketing and guest experience.
He will work with Rick Sasso, chairman of MSC Cruises USA, COO Ken Muskat and the local leadership team at the Fort Lauderdale office.
He will oversee development of the MSC cruise terminal at PortMiami which opens in two years and the newly opened Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas.
