Adrian Rosenfeld is pleased to present Richard Aldrich, the next exhibition at his gallery in San Francisco. Organized in close collaboration with Bortolami, this is the gallery’s first one-person exhibition and Aldrich’s first time exhibiting in the Bay Area since his solo show at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 2011. Comprised of works made between 1998 and 2017, the paintings, sculptures, and works on paper on view mark the diversity of his ever-accumulating practice.
Richard Aldrich was born in Hampton, Virginia and lives and works in New York. He has had one person exhibitions across the United States and Europe including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, St. Louis, and the Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Belgium. He has also been included in other notable group exhibitions including: Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Contemporary Art Museum of Houston, Houston; the Pecci Center of Contemporary Art, Prato, Italy; the Tokyo City Opera, Tokyo; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. His work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, as well as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco.
