Akkineni Nagarjuna has officially confirmed that his upcoming film ‘Wild Dog’ will hit the worldwide theaters on April 2. Speaking at the press meet which took place on Monday, the 61-year-old actor revealed that initially, they have struck a deal with OTT giant Netflix but backed off at the last minute for a theatrical release. Citing the examples of ‘Krack’ and ‘Uppena’, he said “During November, we considered liberating the film on OTT as there was an uncertainty. However, the performance of Telugu films since Sankranthi has changed our minds and to be frank, Wild Dog is tailor-made for a big-screen experience.”
“Wild Dog tells the story of the terrorist attacks that happened in the city and how a commando team headed by NIA agent Vijay Varma hunted down the perpetrators. Acclaimed action choreographers, Sham Kaushal and David Ismalone have composed the stunts for the film and Thaman S lent the background score. Shaneil Deo did an outstanding job as the cinematographer,” added the senior hero of Tollywood.
