Windstar Cruises is the latest cruise line to give up on 2020.
The line has canceled all its remaining cruises for this year and will now concentrate on planning for a safe restart in 2021.
Guest booked on impacted sailings will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) valued at 125% of the cost, or may request a full refund.
Guests will have two years to rebook a new cruise using their FCC.
Windstar will make use of the downtime during its cruise pause to update its health and safety practices with enhanced sanitation protocols and health screenings.
It also plans to take on more shipboard medical staff, and roll out more flexible dining options.
Its Beyond Ordinary Care program includes the use of HEPA filters and UV-C ultraviolet germicidal irradiation to filter circulated air.
Other cruise lines which have announced they will not resume sailing this year include Cunard and Viking.
